My mother bought this for my daughter last Christmas (she was not even a year old). She LOVED it. It has a seat belt, so I could put her in it and let her have a good ol' time. Now, this Christmas, it's around our tree! She's been riding it all year and now gets in and out on her own. You do need a big space for it (great if you have a basement so you can keep it up). We get it out when they play with it and even put it outside when friends come over. My 5 year old still likes playing with it (though her legs are too big to fit in it now and she has to sit up on the back of the seat). My daughter first experienced this toy at another child's birthday party. She was 11 months old and LOVED it. She cried if we took her off the roller coaster. That convinced us that it was the perfect birthday present for her. She got this from us for her first birthday and it provides her with hours of entertainment. She just loves to ride it. We had a two year old at her birthday party, and she also loved this toy. It's really great and I am sure she'll use it for a couple of years. My husband went online and saw this roller coaster and said he wanted to get it for our then 11 month old daughter. Well I read all the reviews and just read over the item and decided o.k. what could it hurt. Well every since that roller coaster has been here my daughter absolutely love it. Its not that loud and the music isn't either. She ride in that roller coaster for hours until she fall asleep she love it. She's getting to where she knows how to start the music herself and she absolutely loves it. She likes it so much when her father is out washing the vehicles I just take the car part of the roller coaster out and let her ride it in the garage because it automatically rolls around in a circle so you don't have to have the track to allow play. The toy has more than paid for itself since we have had it. It gives me free time to work on my second child's blanket while she ride for hours I sit in her room and watch her and crochet my blanket.
