this was one of many electric kettles i owned, all the one i had had basis that would plug into electricity and you could lift the kettle easily for easy use, this one has a electric cord attached to itself so each time you want to fill it with water or take it to the table to pour water for tea you have to unplug it, what a hassle that is, it looked like my old one so i guess i should have payed more attention reading description. another thing was that the kettle had distinct odor to it, whatever it is made out of it smells odd, i tried to get the smell out but i can still smell it some.
