I was totally surprised about the amount of sound and tone that came out of this little horn. I ended up getting it for the novelty of the item especially because it is actually playable. Last night at a rehearsal I had a couple of real good Fhorn players give it a try--one immediately wanted to rent it from me and the other said it was more responsive than his pro horn. I've already been transposing some trumpet solo pieces to play this thing in public! I am a French Horn Major at West Chester University of Pennsylvania and I tried out this horn. It plays as easily as my Conn 8D does, but with a little less body to the sound. This is a great item to have for fun.
