I've been doing a lot more weddings lately and my old tripod just wasn't helping in the long-distance church shots. It was a cheapy that had separate levers to adjust which took too much time. I wanted a ball tripod but most of them are 2 separate pieces - the ball and the legs - which are very expensive. But then I found this Induro and took a chance since it didn't have any reviews yet. It is SO easy to adjust with just one lockdown lever; the motion is smooth both horizontal and vertical; it stays locked down and doesn't drift with even my heavy 70-300 lens; the legs extend easily and quickly and lock well. I did a wedding this weekend and it worked great. It was a short service so I had to work fast to get the rings, the candle, the kiss, etc.

My only problem, which is my problem not the Induro's, is that I couldn't remove my camera from the tripod fast enough to catch one last shot of them coming down the aisle at the end. You have to squeeze the double-locking mechani

Took tripod out for first time and found it easy to set up, simple to balance. The little compass was very handy. The release on the ballhead took a little time to get used to, but I did that at home before I left. Found this Tripod to be very stable for uneven ground, and extends to a full 6'2". I am only 6' so I never needed to run it up all the way, so it remained stable and I felt very comfortable knowing that I could safely put my Nikon D-60 on it. I think it will be a fine tripod when I finally purchase a long lens. I don't see a need to upgrade for a long time coming. Read more

I am a wild flower and nature photographer. The tripod is solid, legs lock well and the ballhead and quick camera adaptor make setup quick and easy. I like the short column for low angle shots of flowers. The short column stays on the tripod most of the time. It is light for an aluminum tripod. The weight doesn't stop me from carring it on 1/2 day or full day hikes.

Whats not great? It's not carbonfiber, but I traded weight for dollars. Read more

I use this tripod for outdoor shooting including night time shots where stillness is key. The tripod is easy to set up and is pretty sturdy. I didn't have a fortune to spend but wanted one with a ball head and this one fit the bill for the price.

The ballhead is easy to use and adjust. It does tend to drift a bit when adjusting for portrait shots, but otherwise holds steady. The ballhead is rated to 12 pounds, but I wouldn't push it's limits. Otherwise it's a great tripod for normal use. Read more

This is a very light weight tripod that has lots of practical applications. With the ballhead it makes changing angles very easy. Also with it weighing just over 3 pounds it is great to strap on to a backpack and take on hikes to use for landscape photography. With it being a few hundred dollars less than the carbon tripods you cant go wrong. Read more
