I bought this as an upgrade to my inexpensive 10-speed road bike. Fantastic bike! Easy to shift, easy to find the ride cadence. Good, responsive brakes, which are a little noisy. Not squeaky yet, but a louder rub noise than other bikes I have ridden. Quality components, small but comfortable saddle. A comfortable riding position, which also allows for power when needed. The tires are rated for 65 to 85 lbs. Reduce the pressure for a softer ride. The tires are smooth for road use, not knobby mountain bike tires. The rat-trap pedals may be a little hard on the feet with thin-soled shoes. Overall, an excellent bike for a good price. [$]. I love the matte black finish and the overall understated style of the bike. If you are looking for a good recreational and/or commuter bike, this is the one! Read more

I love this bike, I just cant get enough of it. I ride it to work everyday, I ride it to the store to go shopping and whenever I have some free time, I'm out on the bicycle trails. I can cover 10 or 15 miles without even realizing it. This bike is awesome. I recommend it to anyone who is going to put a lot of use into it. Read more

It's winter here, so the most of what i have done on this beast is loops through downtown for an hour or so at a time. I intend to use this as a car replacement because of the rising cost of oil. This bike is lightweight for carrying on stairs or throwing on the front of a bus, it rides smooth, and looks dead sexy with a set of fenders. The problem with this bike is the amount of components you need to replace if you are "really" going to ride it. The entire drive train is bottom of the barrel shimano, alivio. Scrap the shifters, levers, and deraileurs for Deore LX if you really want a smooth and responsive shift on this bike. The grips are horrible, too if you have hands of any size...i am replacing them with kona jackshits when they come in the mail. All in all a great frame and bike for the price, drop another $200 into components for it and it will easily last a lifetime. Read more

A great bike - quick, nimble, and light. It is easy to navigate and move in a busy urban setting, while being very cool to ride on the lakefront. Read more

I shopped for a number of weeks testing most of the straight handled bikes available in my price range and level and this model clearly fit me and my needs better than most I tested. This is an 2007 model and it has not disappointed me yet. After years of running I was told by my doctor to bike or swim as an alternate so I exercising during the week on bike and foot and running around the local area on the Gary Fisher Wingra instead of driving the car. Weekend trips have fun and can be challenging. Nice bike and very light also. Read more
