But for the money, here's what you get: An elegant looking system that's easy to set up and delivers theater quality sound of the type you'd hear in today's movie theaters. I've been on a lot of sites and have seen some poor reviews, and it worried me. But all I can say is, if you follow Bose's instructions you get Bose sound. I have a large family room that's open on one side, and the sound is just great. Best of all, all of your friends see the BOSE name on the speakers. They will know that you've bought quality, and they're right. This is not 5 speaker sound, but it's darn close. Read more

I looked at this system for a long time before finally deciding to purchase. The media center we received was defective but the company was very responsive in getting a new one to me. Once we set it up it was amazing! Especially the HD TV stations that broadcast concerts. Movies are great also. It was like being in a theater. The only thing I wish it would do is play Blu-Ray DVDs. I'm hoping a software upgrade is coming! Read more

I use this system in my living room and although sound is high quality when viewing movies, I find it lacking or regular TV shows. Don't get me wrong, the sound is very clear, however it just doesn't posses enough bass. Read more

The Bose system is very easy to install and has very good sounds quality. THe only issue is the inability for it to play normal television programming through the system...it is designed and setup for movies and music that are generated from the Bose system, however does not avail itself of taking a TV feed for playing audio of normal viewing programs. This Bose system has a great sound....and it comes from a very small unobtrusive system. I have a hearing impairment(limited frequency range). This system allows me to hear clear, crisp voices from television programs and movies (without requiring loud volume) as well as it is making it possible for me to enjoy music again. Read more

Had our Bose 321 system and a 42" plasma TV professionaly installed. Installer did recommend the normal 5 or 6 speaker setup but even he was impressed with the sound. I am blown away. Could not be more pleased. Read more

Wrongly described as Home "Theater", this is only good for music and/or video from DVDs. Watching HDTV movies, sound is no better than built in speakers on my Sony 50" HDTV. If you watch or listen to DVDs all day, sound is good, but not worth the price for this average DVD player. Read more
