While I gave this an overall 4 stars, there are some areas that could definitely use improvement.

Overall, I have simple needs when it comes to ovens. Bake or broil. I wanted a convection oven so I could bake faster, or bake more things in the oven without sacrificing time and quality. I only acheived the latter, and I don't get to turn down the temp on the oven either, so it's only pseudo-convection to me. Every new type of dish requires a guessing game to figure out how long to bake it and what the proper temperature should be.

It broils just fine, and is a big help for holidays when I actually need both ovens going. The best part is the in-oven temperature probe, this has saved me a number of times.

I am not impressed with the door seals, I have to turn pans mid-way so that the front and the back of the dish are evenly baked, obviously it's the door seal since the front side of the pan is much lighter than the back, even in convection mode.

Would I buy this particular unit again

We put in all Pro line Kenmore appliances in the remodel of our kitchen. This double wall oven has been a real disapointment.

In the year we have owned it we have put it through a real workout. In baking casseroles or turkeys or roasts, there seems to be an issue with humidity buildup in the oven around the vent. This tends to drip out of the top oven and onto or even into the lower oven door - since the lower oven door has vents on the top...you guessed it, the drips have gone inside the lower door which I then had to disassemble to clean between the glass panes in the door.

Also the bake rack weld has broken.

In all fairness in reading the other reviews there were some inaccuracies. Heating from cold to 350 degrees takes about 15 minutes, however it is true that the convection feature is weak, and browning is very uneven. Also the fan housing seems to need tightening every month or so ( the tech said this was due to heat expansion and cooling)

Although I really loved the look of

This is a wonderful oven. I can cook 3 bunt cakes on one shelf at a the same time. This oven replaced another 30" oven. Although the ovens are the same size, the convection fan takes up a bit of the space in the back. Not enough to worry about.

When I first turned the oven on, the fan was very loud. I was worried, but after the first time on, it was whisper quiet. The description doesn't tell you that there is a proof mode and warm mode. I have used both settings and have been very pleased. At a potluck dinner someone brought a hot pasta dish. We didn't eat for at least an hour. I put it in the oven set at warm & hold. My friend was sure that her dish would be dried out, but it was wonderful.

Everyone is impressed on how clear the glass is. You can clearly see the food cooking. It allows you to limit opening the oven door. Read more

One of the big reasons I chose this product was because it displayed that it has a "Sabbath Mode". This is the third oven I have purchased from Sears and with the past ovens "Sabbath mode" meant a timer that would start or stop an oven at a given time (at least, this is how it is touted in the previous manuals). I contacted Sears and was told that the Sabbath Mode mentioned is to "Warm and Hold" food only. This oven does not have a timer that will start or stop cooking (something that I would use especially when busy with other chores). If I had known this, I would have chosen a less expensive item that has the timed feature- I have better things to do with my time than to babysit my oven.
By the way, I have noted that there is no longer a mention of "Sabbath mode" for this product online. Read more

Our contractor installed this oven a few months ago & I haven't been able to use. After 2 techs and figuring all the little intricacies, I discovered that it can take upwards to 45 mins to pre-heat this oven. Any temperature changes would result in convection preheat to come on & require add'l preheating. They claimed there was no problem, however, I continued to notice issues with overheating until finally the panel flashed F10 & shut down. 3rd tech told us it was the temperature probe & that it was becoming problematic with these ovens. They don't appear to know much about fixing them. 4th tech said it was definitely not the probe, but the master control panel. Keeping my fingers crossed that this resolves the issue. Read more
