WOW what a great find! I just moved and in a few months I'll be moving cross country so I figured it was a good idea to stop getting lost. It works like a dream and is so easy to use. My dad commented on how easy it is to see, which if you're getting old like him is a big plus. I wouldn't have noticed otherwise but it does have reasonably sized lettering. The only down side to it is that I had to leave my computer on overnight for the initial charging (you need to let it charge 8 hours before 1st use). I did some research on the company that does the maps and they do the tom tom and I believe Garmin units too so you know it has pretty similar maps to the more popular brands. I bought my GPS for a trip to NYC. I was going with a girlfriend who can't find her way out of a paper bag!! This GPS was a lifesaver as well as a friendship saver!! I have never used one before but hooked it up quickly and was operational in minutes. It took us from Maine to NJ and then our first trip into Manhatten. What an absolute blessing to be told ahead of time where I am supposed to turn, what lane to get in, etc., etc. It was easy, inexpensive and a great value. I will be using it to drive to Florida in December AFTER I take it to Paris with me in October! Read more

Worked right out of the box. Initial satellite requisition took a little longer than I expected, but after it hooked up it has been flawless. USB cable (included) is great because it works as a charge station also.Screen is clear and bright even in the day time, and the volume can be turned up to a very loud setting...(even louder than the kids in the back.)I've used Garmin and this is every bit as good, but doesn't carry the price tag of the Garmin name.Highly recommended. We really like this little machine. It works great and the features are simply to use. Love its ability to virtually drive you through your route prior to actually driving it. That comes in handy. We drive from location to location for work and this little machine is perfect for our needs. We used to have a Garmin but it wouldn't function in the work van because of some interferance.
