I had a Maytag washer and dryer for 36 years. They were great. Couldn't find parts for the dryer and the washing machine finally gave out. This new Maytag washer and dryer are a piece of junk. The washer sounds awful, like it is going to fall apart and the dryer makes bumping sounds. They were delivered today and after running them we called the salesman. He said thats the way they sound and that it would be very costly to upgrade. He did not mention while we were looking at the different models that this one was noisy. I would never have bought this if I had known how noisy they were. Maytag has really gone down the tube. Read more

I repalaces a compact washer. it did a good job but i wore it out by overloading it. i purchased the new maytag centennial. it has lots of room. looks great. much quiter than my old washer. the clothes come out cleaner & wrinle free. the top when you open it remains open. i love this feature. it is easy to load & unload. i like the feel of the buttons. it is a bargain. It was very inexpensive. I spent less on this than i do on 6 months of gasoline. Read more

No extra fancy gadgets or dials. Just cleans with adequate adjustments. Just a small complaint - it does not spin as fast as my old washer, but everything seems cleaner. I'll gladly accept a damper load if it's cleaner. Read more

We bought this unit based on previous history with Maytag products.....quite a mistake on our part. This unit is nothing like any of our previous Maytag washers. Cheaply built, VERY noisy. If it lasts more than a couple months I will be seriously surprised. Not sure what happened to quality control, but my guess is the "Maytag repairman" will be very busy in the near future! Read more

        These people must have issues.

First. Stop overloading the wash. You want to load a stupid ton of clothes and have it be quiet, get a front loader.

I haven't had a problem with the buttons getting pushed it. Maybe because I'm not slamming the door open and I actually take care of my appliances.

The noise is actually quiet compared to my old frigid air p0$
Look people, be 10 percent smarter than your equipment. Thats it.

Try letting some water flow in and drop some detergent in the water. Then put some clothes in. NOT YOUR ENTIRE DAYS WORTH. Just a regular load. Your clothes will come cleaner. Read more
