I bought this because it was the only cam at my BB that claimed to be Mac compatible on the box. Of course, all USB cams are compatible with any computer with a USB connection for the most part, so I assumed that because it specifically said *Mac* on the box that there would be Mac compatible *software* as well. But that is not the case. It is not until you get into the box that it says, "Oh, by the way, this software is only compatible with Windows XP/Vista. Sucker!" So all I have is an unintelligent webcam, which is fine if that is all you want. But I would like more advanced software features. It works fine otherwise, except for some occasional image flashing and flickering. It will be going back to the store, however. Thanks, Rocketfish, for the deceptive information on the box and wasting my time. I would recommend it to a Windows user, but not a Mac user. Read more

Alright bromeos, listen & listen good. Do U wanna chat with ur GF in Boston but u live in like, Hawaii? Do you totally miss her wicked shiny smile and gorgeous blonde/pink locks? Is she totally plain and modestly hot either? Well as long as you're in love with that babe, you've gotta get this cam and get the video chats going. // It's got a sick, sick 2 megapixels (which are just fine for streaming video chat) and a totally hooked up mic. Green light for when it's on? CH-CHECK! Trust me I've had my fair share of cam hackers and this one will def. let you know. Do you move around and headbang like crazy? This cam will AUTOFOCUS so when you have a Madonna moment, you won't be left in the dust. // Guess what? Wanna show your girl how u just spilled ur nachos all on ur lap? Ya turkey, just SWIVEL THE CAM downwards! You can turn it left to right in about 180 degrees and up and down in about 120. Plus, you can tilt it and clip it and hook it on just about any monitor with a 90 degree angle o

A Great First Webcam

This is my first webcam. After experience with cameras, I chose this webcam because it had 2.0 mp while most others in the store had 1.3 mp. By knowing this, it should be very clear. When I brought it home, it was supereasy to set up and use. Everything is excellent except for one thing. We have different sized desktops and laptops in the house and this webcam doesn't stand so well on some. There are grips on the camera to hold onto your monitor , yes you can extend it or tighten it to the monitor or even just leave it to stand. I never knew this but the desktop I use has a monitor that has a big bump behind it. I don't clip my webcam onto it because it becomes loose and falls off, so I just let it sit on one of my speakers. (One small thing! The USB cable is pretty short ) It works perfect with flat monitors, mine is flat but it must be flat all over like a laptop. Overall, this is a very nice webcam for first-timers! Read more

I've never seen better quality from a webcam, period. It fits on the top of my oversized flat screen monitor like a glove. I've set it up in multiple locations for different angles and it stays put. It rotates a full 360 degrees and tilts forward and back as much as you could need it to. Installation was a breeze on XP pro. I put in my install disc and was off and running in a flash. Skype call quality is superb, picture is nice and clear. The included cam center and console are good. I don't use the cam center (haven't had a need to), but i use the console alot. I like the ability to manual focus, zoom, pan and tilt. Auto functions fine in most instances, but I'm able to observe the yard behind the screen by manually focusing the camera past the screen.

#1 choice if you want skype clarity and a hassle-free experience. Read more

I purchased this product specifically for a Mac Mini. I am running Mac OS 10.4.11 and so I had no problems with plug and play. Right away, the system recognized this product and I was able to use with Skype minutes later. The quality of construction, ease of use, and video/audio (built in mic) is very good. This product is one of a very few webcams that support Mac computers. Like any other products on the market, you might end up with a dud. If that's the case, just exchange it for another, but the one I bought works well and I would recommend it to any Mac user who doesn't have a built-in webcam. Read more
