I finally have found a microwave that I can use as an oven, foods which should be crispy or evenly browned really are! This product does what other microwaves claim to do but don't. I couldn't be more pleased. When a food should be cooked in five minutes, it is cooked evenly and tastes as though I spent hours in the kitchen using conventional methods. I can't believe a few people thought this was a noisy microwave.Maybe they previously owned a very small,low wattage unit.It is the quiest one I have ever owned(I had the salesman run the floor model before I bought it).It also cooks more efficiently than my previous Kenmore microwave which was 1200 watts(and went dead in 7 months).When new you have to remove the plastic wrap type cover that encircles the whole unit except the back.It is hard to see and hard to remove.I should have done it with the salesman at the store.This is a quiet,efficient,compact but powerful microwave at a low price. I try to buy USA made anything...but when I was redoing the apartment this summer I got a LG refrigerator(since I'm size dependent in this kitchen, I only had a few to choose from) with the freezer on the bottom(fell in love with this thing..stylish,just the right size etc)..so I decided since I had a couple of Best Buy gift cards to go with the LG brand again....and I'm happy I did..my last microwave was smaller, so not only is this stylish but larger inside...LG has a style guru working for them:-)...it looks good, while being totally functional and functions that you don't have to be an "Einstein" to use!! Not wanting to write a review too quickly I now have this microwave several months and we cannot be more pleased, especially after buying two other microwaves and having to bring them back for poor performance. This one is easy to operate, heats up foods fast, and the One Touch Control buttons work perfect, like the popcorn, food plate, potato, and quick defrost which are the ones we uses often. The only thing is it was a little noisy so we put a kitchen sponge against the side and scooted againt the wall and now it is fine. I would recommend this microwave without hesitation. Read more

I purchased this on January 27, 2009. Little bit loud, especially when you close the door - but i am fine with that. It's perfectly heat (make food so hot in little time) on April 30, 2009 - it stopped working (only worked 3 months) with no reason!! Light is still on and making sounds (like you heat the food) - eventhough it's empty inside. Also, Start button is not working. Unfortunately, I have to purchase another one (exactly the same). because i want all of my appliances in my kitchen is LG products and stainless steel - and back then i purchased LG's Refrigerator, Gas Range and this Microwave for my new apartment. right now i am in discussion with LG company to reimbursed my old purchased. Hope they will take care of it sooner! Read more
