We purchased this dryer 10 months ago. 9 repairmen and countless phone calls later we are still dealing with a defective dryer. (It will not close properly and will open in the middle of a cycle.) That's nine times we have taken off work! We have now entered into the realm of the absurd.Whirlpool claims "there are no known problems with this dryer" and there is nothing they can do which, when you think about it, is the equivalent of calling us liars. Do they think we are doing this for fun? [...] (repair service) keeps ordering more parts and trying to fix it. Last thing they told us was to "just slam the door really hard..." At this point they have even replaced the entire front end of the dryer. I would never buy a Whirlpool product again! Take heed! Your money AND time are at stake. Read more

AMAZING!

I first used this dryer at a friends house when I was helping her out. As I took the laundry out of the washer, I counted 12 big towels among all the clothes. When I put it in the dryer and pushed start, the timer read 40 minutes. I laughed out loud and wondered how many times I would have to restart it to get them dry. At the end of the 40 minute cycle, I was amazed to find everything dry.

I immediatly went home and ordered one of my own. Every time I use it, I am in awe of how fast it drys clothes. I guess I didn't realize how worthless my old dryer was (and it was less than 2 years old)

If you are waivering, STOP. It's worth the money! Read more

This is the best clothes dryer I have ever had or seen on the market. The clothes are dry when they are supposed to be due to the sensors in the machine that determine dampness. Quieter then any other dryer I have had and very efficient as well as user friendly. Read more

I purchased this dryer at[...]. In "Bulky" mode, it continually froze at about 19 minutes remaining and did not go into "cool down". I had to shut it off manually. I worked with Whirlpool and had two different service companies replace three parts over two months. It still would not work. Whirlpool replaced it, today. The new one freezes in all modes and must be shut down manually. There is apparently a problem with the automatic mode technology. I would not recommend it. Read more

We bought the washer and dryer combo set. The dryer is quiet and effecient and does a great job on drying bulky items. The buttons are in the front so you don't have to reach to the back to turn it on...that is great. It is quiet and has a lot more features that our older dryer. It also came with a free offer to get a drying rack via mail. Read more
