This fridge runs alot less than my last (a KitchenAid) and is much quieter. I have more refrigerator space but a little less freezer space. The best feature is being able to fit wide trays and large frozen pizzas in without having to angle them as I did in my old side by side. The worst feature involves having to open the freezer and slide a drawer to get to the ice. Read more

to date, fine - EXCEPT that every time you open either refirgerator door, condensate drip from the door onto the floor. The only way to avoid this problem is to turn the "energy saver" off - whic wastes $$$. ARRRRGGGHHHH! Read more

We bought an Amana AFD2535 2 years ago. Right after the warrenty expired a thermostat or as they call it tempature regulator went bad. had to have replaced and lost most food as a result. 2 months later a second one died again over a weekend more spoilage.The repair service now found that the "frost assembly" is the issue which is a new charge.After getting a call back that the part is unavailable from the repair service I called Amana. They told me that that part would not be available until April 30, that's over 3 weeks without a refrigerator. Then they have the nervr not to send the part for free or even a discount but a measly 15% discount on a new one. I would never buy another Amana product based on the product performance and lack of customer service. Read more

[...] I like the fridge overall, but there are a couple of picky things. 1) The shelves have rather thick triangular supports which means that if you have placed two at the same height you can't really use the middle of your now double-wide shelf because the supports from shelves above impinge on the center. I'd like to see these supports designed a little slimmer. 2) The plastic accessories (drawers, covers, etc.) are all a bit on the flimsy side, and likely not to hold up over the expected life of the fridge. Great refrigerator. Huge interior size, no wasted space on a door dispenser(dispensers use almost the whole door). Large tray for ice works well. No door dispenser so great if you have kids. Won't fit well in small kitchens because big inside means big outside. Shelving pulls out and is strong. Overall would buy again. Read more
