If you're looking a good alternative to an Ipod, this is the product for you. I bought it because I'm a student and it was cheaper and had more space than the ipod video right next to it. I LOVE IT! I took it on an international trip and my gigabeat was going strong after 2 days of no charging and hours on buses while everyone else's ipods were long dead. Also, you can use it as an external hard drive! That's one of the best things...it's a 40GB data stick. Read more

I bought this MP3 player for my daughter, who is very pleased with it. The capacity is great and she finds it fairly easy to operate. My only complaint is that like many (but not all) mp3 players you have to use their software to transfer music files. With my Archos Gmini 400, the computer treats it as an external hard drive, allowing you to drag and drop files. I prefer the non-proprietary approach used by Archos. That aside, the Toshiba seems to be a fine MP3 player. Read more
