We are very happy with this washer. It has done a good job of washing everything we have put in it so far. It is very quiet. The most impressive thing so far is how efficient the spin cycle is. The clothes are in some cases just damp when you take them out. This is probably not unique to this washer, but to any with a high speed spin cycle. I don't have any hard numbers on the energy or water efficiency. Just by watching the washer work, you can see it will use very little water. Again this is probably typical for a front loading machine. The controls are pretty easy to use and has all the options that I think someone would normally use. Overall I think this is a pretty good washer for the money. Read more

My husband & I did quite a bit of research before buying this w&d.; So imagine my surprise and disappointment to find that this is the worst washer & dryer ever!
I can't honestly believe that it is energy star rated because I have to regularly rewash clothes and dry things for hours (HOURS!)I don't know what they think "towels" means on the dryer setting, but it doesn't dry my towels after running for 60 minutes.
The wash takes forever!
It touts its large capacity - but if you fill the wash drum full (not ridiculously), half of the load won't even get wet, let alone clean.
Most of our laundry duties are washing cloth diapers. What our old w&d; did in an hour and a half or so this Frigidaire takes 3.
You can't select time. You are limited to what the settings dictate.
If you don't SLAM the door to the washer a loud (baby waking) buzzer goes off.
Thankfully you are able to disable the the cycle end buzzer, but for some reason you have to disable the cycle signal for every single setting

The only cons I have listed are very minor ones. I haven't actually done any work on leveling it (it was very close to being level out-of-box), so I'm sure the vibrations could be reduced by working with that, I just haven't had time. The only other complaint is that I wish the door would latch when I swing it shut. You actually have to press the door shut (and in the middle, not at the top) or it won't fully latch and will swing back open until you push it shut. It wouldn't be as big of a deal if I had the pedestals, because the middle of the door would be an easier reach. As with any front load, make sure you dry the rubber gasket inside the door after use and leave the door cracked so it can dry out and won't mildew. This isn't an issue with just this model, it's an issue with every front-loader I've used.I used to have Maytag Neptunes and loved them. Now, I can hardly believe that I was satisfied with them! This machine does a better job of getting things clean and was rated

A very well made, attractive Machine. Can't believe the quality and performance at this Price. I was looking for a shorter cycle front loader; some machines take as long as 90+ minutes!!. This front loader does a fantastic job on the average wash load in 45 minutes. It also has the functionality to adjust for any type of clothing or bedding. Twice what the Whirlpool front loader is at half the price! Read more

I have had this machine for 18 mos and have had two separate instances when it stopped working. The first time was about 3 mos in and was covered under warranty - the cycles would shut down about 2 minutes in. Now at 18 mos, it has stopped spinning. Repairs will be almost the cost of a new machine. I am going to cut my losses and buy a new machine in different brand. Read more
