So far, so good! Owned about a week and been doing laundry non-stop. The capacity is great, it's large size helps things stay "separate" and able to dry instead of in one big clump. The control locks are nice because my one year old loves the buttons but can't mess with them. Unfortunately the 10" pedestal is just for "show" and you can't store anything in it - the 15" would make it too tall for my space. fyi you can switch the way the door opens, but you have to buy a separate "kit" to do so. I would buy this dryer (got a deal on the floor model!) again in a heartbeat! Read more

i bought this and matching washer...washer has to be replaced as this one will too!

they worked perfect for the first 20 loads and then it went down hill. the lint trap doesn't trap lint that well...everything fall behind the lint trap...clothing even childrens clothing is left damp.
it is great on bras which i used to hand...i just toss in and they are gently dried.
i just got jinxed with a bad machine i guess. my sister in law has the older version and can't stop raving about them. Read more

We have only had the washer for a couple of weeks; however, we have given it a good workout. The unit is very simiple to operate, and if you read the manual, very easy to understand. We have used the heavy duty, normal, and delicate cycles and all have worked flawlessly. We keep the door open after washing, and inspect the seal and have found no reason to think we will have odor or leak problems. It is amazing how little water the unit uses (my wife thought something was wrong with it since she couldn,t see the water level) and how quiet it is even in the high spin cycle. Make sure the unit is balanced properly and don't let it touch walls or counters or it will amplify the sound during the spin cycle (looks like a jet engine spinning up).In short, it is a great unit at a great price..under [$]. Read more

I had a washer/dryer since the beginning of time and was afraid to part with them even though they were falling apart. When the repairman came by and threatened it was his last visit, I knew it was time to come into the 21st Century. Bought the whirlpool duet washer and gas dryer and haven't regretted my purchase one bit. Both are quiet as a mouse. First time I used them I watched the panel light up like a kid watching the fireworks for the very first time. Loads take a little longer but for most part clothes come out looking great and love the different settings. Whites could be a little whiter but I now leave them for a longer setting and that seems to help. The smell at first is not great but that seems to wear off in time. Read more

our current washer and dryer still worked so it took me a long time to talk myself into buying this set but I'm very glad that I did. I think it's the right thing to do for the environment, I feel very green! It's unbelievably quiet. Read more
