This microwave was a relief: - Sound can be turned off altogether - Light comes on when the door gets opened - The door opens/closes rather quietly - "Add a minute" button will turn on the microwave (there is no need to also have to press Start button to get the microwave going) - Display can be read from all reasonable angles (one does not need to be looking straight at the display to be able to see what it displays, as is the case with some more expensive microwave ovens) All in all, a user-friendly, efficient microwave with straightforward controls and useful features. Love this microwave. I had always had an Amana, but when my last one quit working, I could not find this brand in my area, so I bought another brand. I hated it. I found this one and ordered it right away. I don't think I'll ever own another brand again. Read more
