I am German and when I first moved to the States I bought a Bosch Washer (of course) as the American ones simply didn't do the job the way we Germans are used to. Now that I needed a new one, I did a looooooooooong research. I also have an LG fridge which I love so LG it was. I looooooooooove this washer. I had sheets with lots of blood on it as my injured dog was laying on them. I did not have a washer for 3 weeks and had not soaked those sheets or anything - just threw them in the basket and this load was the first one I did. I used the sanitary cycle with prewash and could not believe that the blood stains were gone. 2 hours and 12 minutes - but worth it. White is white again. The varity of cycles and temperatures are more than sufficient, the 20 minute speed cycle is awesome! I can sit outside right by my laundry room door and cannot even hear the washer. I found myself getting up twice to see if it still running. Spinning - I used the lowest setting and the sheets still came out a

Happy Customer!

Jesus Saves us from our sins!
        from
        Sunsites, AZ. USA!!

My Wife & I just bought a townhouse in AZ, so water consumption is very important! Being Energy Star rated also is important, as we conserve the most we can, we even use LED lights which use 1/10 the power of the compact floresents!

At first I was concerned, as it would put in a little water, and start to spin, then stop, add some more water, and then spin the other way, but that is normal!

It does a good job at cleaning, and drying the clothes, so far we have only filled it half way (according to it, as it weighs each load, and then lets you put in the appropreate amount of soap, we use the regular laundry soap from Melaleuca because it is toxic free! but only use half the amount, works good for us so far (2 weeks)

There are so MANY options, as too wash cycles, it is GREAT! I built a 15" high platform for it out of 2 X 6's which was alot cheaper than the cute little stand they sell for it! Read more

        from
        Sarasota, Florida

Was able to install with the help of one friend in a very tight space. LG made it easy as there are grip-guides on top of the pedestals and indented 'handle' spaces on either side of the machine (nice touch, LG!).

I researched washers and dryers for weeks before making this purchase. If you buy a front-loading washer, you just need to make sure you dry off the rubber door gasket after each use (takes 10 seconds with a dry cloth). This will avoid mildew/mold build-up. Also, this machine has a SANITARY cycle which you can run (with no clothes in) using some bleach to sanitize the whole inside of the drum.

The manual was easy to understand. The controls are intuitive.

The machine is VERY QUIET as advertised but I was careful to make sure it was perfectly balanced after installation. The foot design makes it easy with a special wrench supplied with the unit.

The access door to clean the impeller filter is in the front bottom of the machine which makes maintenance simpler.

I'll admit, I've only had this machine for three days. I've done about five loads, all without issues. I haven't tried all of the fancy features (delay start, extra rinse, etc.) so I truly don't know how well they all work.
Yes, I've heard the "sounds like an airplane engine." It's just a loud whirring sound. Not inconvenient at all. And it's quieter than the top-loading machine I replaced.
The end-of-cycle alarm is easy to hear. I do have a single story house and my utility room is central to the entire house. But alarm is more like a ring tone of a cell phone. It's a bit unique. Not just a BUZZZ, but a true jingle of tones. The tone also repeats a couple of times.
My reason to write a review so soon is: the mustard spots on my son's white uniform shirt. He had dripped mustard in several places on his shirt. I had already washed (and air dried) his shirt with a regular load, using someone else's front-load machine (which shall remain nameless, but is not sold at Best Buy). The mustard

We have two young boys, and do a lot of laundry. While the cycle is a bit long, it gets the clothes very clean, holds a big load, and spins the clothes fairly dry so the dryer is not used as much. It has ben outstanding for comforters and bluky winter coats as well as everyday clothes. We did not get pedestal and do not miss it at all. The machine is quiet, effective, efficient and versatile. Read more
