I've used several different brands of powered speakers, this one was by far the cleanest sound. Read more

I HAD TO DO ALOT OF RESEARCH BEFORE MAKING UP MY MIND, BUT NOW I AM SO GLAD THAT I DID. I HAD TO INVITE OVER A FEW FRIENDS TO CHECK THEM OUT. THE DEALER THAT I PURCHASED THEM FROM IN HOUSE FINANCED ME (MUCH PROPS TO BLAZING GUITARS) HE HAD PEAVEYS, BEHRENGERS YOU NAME BUT SAID:"RAY YOU GOTTA GIVE THESE A CHANCE".I BANG HIP HOP, TECHNO, PROGRESSIVE HOUSE AND ALL KINDS OF MUSIC HARD CORE HEAVY STUFF. AND THEY ROCK AT THE BAR. I JUST ORDERED TWO MORE AND TWO WOOFERS. SCREW PACKING AN AMP RACK I AM DONE WITH ALL THAT HEAVY STUFF WITH THESE YOU DONT NEED IT. SO IGNORE THE BAD REVIEWS ABOUT HISSING OR ANY OTHER WARNINGS. THESE ARE WORTH YOUR TIME AND MONEY. Read more

I first heard these speakers at Carnaval in San Francisco. They were used by JK Sound on several outdoor stages for sound reinforcement and they sounded loud and clear for vocals. I bought a pair of the Thump TH15A's for their sound, light weight and price for my Mobile DJ business. Compared to the Mackie SRM450, the Thump TH15A is slightly bigger and doesn't put out as many watts. But from our experience they are plenty loud enough for small venues and for bigger venues they sound better with a crossover and subwoofer. I bought the Tapco 18 inch subwoofer to complement the pair. A BBE Sonic Maximizer also helps bring out the sonic goodness from my computer based DJ rig. Bottom line: Great bang for the buck! The Mackie engineers did it right! Read more

I got these speakers for mobile djing and I can't believe what I got for the money. The housing is simple but tough. They sound great out doors I compared them to a friends EONs but could find very little to justify the price difference. Especially for most applications you would use a self powered speaker these are great. Each speaker actually weighs less then one of my technics sl1200s in its road case. Read more
