I have a gas stove and to perk coffee on an open flame is nostalgic to me, and a different taste compared to dripped coffee because more bean oils are leached into the brew. Because of the taste difference, I keep small freeze dried coffee packs of different flavor that is just for the perking pot. Sold at a good price that blends in well with my kitchen decor with the stainless steel & black. It is all stainless steel with the internal components as well. It is a great campfire coffee maker too, just keep the handle away from the flames. Read more

We use this pot everyday! We previously owned a Farberwear pot for 20 years, but the handle finally gave out. When i received the new one, i was a little disappointed in the flimsy-looking handle. i guess time will tell if it holds up. But, all in all, i am very satisfied in the pot's performance. it percs quickly and the coffee stays hot all morning. Read more

HAD A COFFEE POT LIKE THIS FOR OVER 20 YEARS AND WHEN I FOUND THIS ONE I DIDN'T THINK IT WOULD BE AS GOOD, BUT WAS I WRONG. THE COFFEE WAS GREAT AND THE COFFEE STAY HOTTER MUCH LONGER. I'M VERY HAPPY WITH THIS NEW CLASSIC STAINLESS STEEL PERCOLATOR. IT MADE MY 87 YEAR OLD MOTHER AND HER HEALTH CARE AID VERY HAPPY WHEN THEY HAVE THEIR MORNING COFFEE. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. Read more
