Works well in my application...but

        Anonymous with Humid Basement
        from
        Washington, DC

Used for pumping water destillate from Whirlpool humidifier to merge with a water drain originally dedicated to the HVAC system. All this in the basement.

PROs: Well built. Easy to install.
CONs: Some cons:
1. 25-feet Vynil tubing was crinked and useless due to poor packaging from the OEM.
2. The vynil tubing had to be replaced at extra cost. The original vynil tubing was black, I chose to replace it with a spool of 1/2-in transparent vynil tubing, so that I can inspect the water flow.
3. If the pump fails, the dehumidifier will continue to push the destillate and flood. There is no electronic "keep alive" interface between external pump and dehumidifier. Read more

The kit is just fine, quiet and works well, though the tubing should not be wrapped in the matter to which it is pack it, there are flat spots in the tubing but if you work with it-it will be ok to use. The pump is very quiet and powerful. They use these at where I work in a rough environment and last so the price is worth it have to make life a little easer. I recommend this product from this company. Read more

        guy with damp basement
        from
        New England

found a large puddle around the unit after the first night, leaking around gasket of hose tubing, (the actual brass joint of the tube attachment not from the around the threads of the dehumidifier tank) had to seal it with silicone. Also had to prime unit (i don't think it was mentioned in the instructions), i found it overflowing and continuously on without pumping water.
Now it seems to work great. we will see
Would recommend it with the caviate that you have to watch it first. I am still a little weary and find myself checking it alot to see if its working Read more

Purchased for my mom & dad so they would not have to empty the dehumifier. Automatically empties the bucket into the drain. Very easy to install and requires no monitoring. Read more

I have a Whirlpool dehumidifier in the damp basement of my 150-year-old home. The basement has no floor drain, so I use the pump to transfer water from the dehumidifier to the flower beds outside. Read more
