good basic product for the sale price on black friday ([$]). angle of viewing has major affect on colors, expecially darks. The pixel quality poor compared to my computer monitor. long frame crops pictures (usually bottom) so pictures not centered. Light from ceiling light reduces colors due to angle. After 1 day of use I will probably return item and seek higher quality with standard box. Read more

Did not have high expectations - wanted merely the equivalent of a reasonably decent "snapshot" quality desktop photo album. I didn't want bells and whistles (MP3, video, or even remote control). I didn't even want to store a whole ton of photos, or get all antsy about how folders get displayed in a slideshow, etc.;I agree with all the negatives posted so far, including the comments re: buttons in back hard to manage, the manual is woefully incomplete. Also, the OptiPix Pro software installation to PC was unnecessarily difficult (due to primitive and limited programming) and took 4 or 5 tries and multiple error messages before finally completing. We are pretty computer savvy, so finally managed to work around one of the first issues - (a classic Catch-22, where the program would not allow re-installation, due to "on-going installation in progress already", even though that was not the case, and the current attempt was due only because the first go-round did NOT install). Not Bad for price, not as good as others

It loads easily. I agree with other reviewer that its not that bright in direct sunlight. If you have it in a room with controlled lighting, it should look fine. Mine is in an entry area with sunlight and it looks washed out.

I wish you could scroll through the photos. It only rotates through the photos like a power point without the ability to skip around.

My intent was to use it to show prospective customers photos of what we have done in the past. I am buying one with a better screen and a remote. Read more

I received the Omnitech 8.5" digital frame as a gift & also purchased one as a gift. I had, in the past, purchased another manufacturer 8" frame. Value vs. quality were a direct comparison. I paid more for the other manufacturer frame and received a better quality photo image. The Omnitech was, unfortunately, a lesser quality frame as well as less expensive. I put my memory card in each frame to compare, and there was an obvious quality difference. I plan on returning the Omnitech frames, as I am much more impressed with the other. Read more
