No Longer Confined to the House from Charleston WV

This car seat was a life saver! Our daughter is almost 4 months now and cried everytime we placed her in her infant seat, except on the day home from the hospital. We couldn't drive down the road without listening to screams - the only time we went anywhere was if she was asleep and often she woke up the minute we put her in her seat. My 8 year old and I would both sit in the back seat with her, it didn't matter. I read the reviews on this seat so we went to 2 different stores and placed her in the demo. She was fine. My mother offered to purchase it for us so we got it. Sketptical? I was skeptical, so I first took her for a 5 minute ride - no crying. The next day I chanced 15 minutes - still no crying. The third day we went to my mother's - a 40 minute drive each way. Within a week we were willing to try her on a 3 hour trip. She did great! Highly Recomended for Safety

On July 2nd my daughter and I were in a car accident. I was hit head on and it totaled my car. I broke my foot and was pretty bruised and banged up but my daughter was completely fine! The only thing she walked away with was neck/chest abrasions from her car seat straps. The extra money should not be a factor because this car seat will pay for itself if ever in an accident. A little extra money for a lot more safety! I have, and will continue to recommend Britax car seats to everyone I know! Read more

In speaking with a manager at Babies R Us, he recommended Britax. So I did tons of research on car seats for our daughter, looking at every manufacturer out there. I found that Britax had the most positive consumer results. So, I ordered two - one for my car and one for my husband's car. They arrived before the scheduled date (bonus for Babies R Us!) and, for the most part, were easy to install (just make sure you follow the directions closely and adjust the straps BEFORE installing!) Our daughter LOVES her seats! I like the fact that I can adjust the tension on the straps to get her in and out of her seat easily and the straps don't pinch around her legs or on her shoulders. We have the mirrors that attach to a back headrest and she really enjoys looking at herself in her big-girl seat! Though they are bulky and heavy, I think it will keep our daughter safe, so I would definitely recommend this seat to anyone! Read more

This is a superior car seat. Our daughter always complained in her infant car seat and if we were going to buy another car seat, we wanted one that she would grow into. We purchased an Evenflo and she still complained. We returned that one and got this Britax and she hasn't complained since and we've had it for 6 months. She even helps buckle herself up and she loves that she sits high enough that she can see out the window. I also like that when she falls asleep her head doesn't flop forward and it's easy to get her in and out even with the seat in the middle. We now have twins and will definitely buy them this same model. It's also a bonus because it takes up less width space than other car seats and we will be able to put 3 side by side in our Expedition. It's also very easy to clean and adjust the straps. Read more

I bought this seat when my son was 10 months old. He was 19lbs & 28 inches long, [born a preemie of 4lbs 7oz]. He fit really good in this seat at 10 months. It's very light weight for me to move in & out from my Honda Pilot to my husband's truck even being 2 months pregnant. It's not bulky unlike some seats and it only takes me 5 minutes to unhook and place into another car and that's even using the teather and installing it properly as I was certified to do when I worked at the hospital. He can sleep in it very comfortably on our 5 hours trips to visit friends in TN. He doesn't sweat in it. It is a little harder to remove the cover and wash because you have to unhook so many straps. I was a little concerned at first when I hooked him in the first time and only one of the harness straps clicked. But later after reading on the second buckle would click and that's how you knew it was secure.
