i bought this bike before x-mas 2008 and it's june 2009 and i am still on the same set of batteries i first put in it and i use it 4-6 times a week.it is very comfortable . it provides as many different workouts as anyone would need especially if you get an ifit card. i got the first 1 now i program my own workouts.i have lost 30 lbs since i started using it.the calorie counter is wrong.you need to go on the internet and google a site that takes your age, weight, height and workout speed and length of workout for stationary bikes to get a true calorie burn reading. the one on the bike display is 2-3 x lower than you really burn.until i figured this out i was very disappointed with the amount of work i was doing and the calories burned the bike said i had burned.when i found the true amount of calories burned i actually increased my workout intensity and length.other than this i would give it a 5 star rating.also wait for the on sale price.it goes on sale frequently. Read more

So far this bike has been a very good value compared to the cost of other cycles in the low-end of the market. It is very comfortable, the controls are easy to use, and it has a good variety of programs. I also like the fact that you can run it on either batteries or a power adapter (neither included with the purchase though). Oh, and it is quiet enough to watch TV while you ride without turning the volume up beyond normal level. The resistance levels cover a nice range too.

I've only had the bike for a week so I can't comment on the longevity yet. It was easy to assemble pretty much by myself. I did ask my wife to hold the controller while I plugged-in the connectors but that was just for convenience.

The only negative I've found so far is that one of the factory connections was loose which kept the resistance from operating properly. I pulled off the side panel (9 screws, very easy) to see what was going on and quickly found that the connection was loose. Pushed the plugs together

I bought the bike in the begining of Jan 09. April 15th it died. It started making a horrible grinding sound. And uh-oh, it's beyond the 90 warranty.

The cost to have a repair man look at this would exceed the cost of a new bike. So I looked into the problem myself.

The magnetic fly wheel assembly looks a lot like a drum brake. The mechanism that moves the magnets inside the fly wheel is made of brittle plastic. The magnetic "brake shoes" were cracked in about 10 different places, and the magnets were falling off the backing plate and griding against the fly wheel. Simply put this thing was cracking and crumbling apart...seemingly at the molecular level. I really couldn't believe my eyes.

Clearly the stress applied to these parts during normal use is greater than the plastics ability to resist that stress. The plastic parts are not up to the task.

I'm very disappointed. I've barely had this bike 100 days and I'm already faced with buying parts for it. Read more

I purchased this bike last week and love it. It is packaged well and the part are labeled which make them easy to find. I hvae no mechanical ability at all and it took me about 2 hours to put it together. Two people would could that time in half. It rides real nice and does not make a lot of noise. It appears to be a good value for the money. I only wish I would hvae bought the AC adaptor for it so I didn't have to go back to the store. I think this investment will last for years. I also bought the protection plan for it to cover anything the manufactures warranty won't cover. Read more

Bought the bike yesterday, had it together in no time. We both did a workout. Rides nice and smooth. Product is quiet. The only thing I felt should be included is an adapter. Read more
