Let’s hope your machine won’t ever need to have a service call from Maytag / Whirlpool.
I bought my unit 10 months ago and it is already not working. It is still under the manufacture warranty, so I called to set up an appointment for service. And the nightmare starts there:
First, I was told that there isn’t any option for a more narrow window as when the serviceman to come, other than an 8 â€"" 5 all day appointment. I took a day off, waited all day. I called both Maytag and their contractor A & E Company through out the day to confirm that the appointment is still on. I was told the A & E rep that the service man HAS to finish all their work, even it is well past their appointment time. Only to turn out that someone from A & E call a whole hour after the latest time the serviceman should arrive for his appointment and said that he won’t be coming. There was no reason offer as why he is not coming. So, it is no concern to them that a customer took a day off, waited and wasted

My washer has black mold all around the rubber gasket, my clothes smell, and if they touch the black mold they are stained. I can't buy anything white because it is stained by the black mold. I have to use at least 5-8 fabric softener sheets to cover the mildew smell that comes from the washer. Maytag notifed some people of the settlement and had I know about it I could have had my washer replaired but along with everyone I know that ones the same washer and has the same problems, I was never notified. This could also have something to do with the fact that when I called to inform Maytag of my problems I found out my machines were already been registered to someone else, repaired, and must have later been returned to Home Depot who then turned around and sold me used appliances. If they hadn't already been registered by someone else maybe my registration would have been in my name and not someone elses. Then I could have possible been part of the settlement. Although it seems as though

Yes, it is a little small -- compared to those Extra Super Large Ultra Capacity washers that are about the size of a Chevy Suburban. But let's face it. How many times are you going to do laundry for the entire football team? This unit has the capacity for any apartment with 1 - 2 people and it fit perfectly into my small closet. It cleans my clothes just fine and I can easily fit a week's worth of 'dirties' in it at one time. Sure beats using the dark, poorly-lit, ugly, communal laundry facility in my apartment complex.
Delivery was simple, quick and easy. Hook up went without a hitch.
The unit is surprisingly quite as I can't imagine there is room for much sound deadening material.
It is also quick. I've used full size, high-efficiency washers before and they seem to take forever to finish a load. This unit does not. You'll be perfectly happy with how long a full load takes.
I purchased this with the Maytag Neptune stacking dryer and the pair work very well together ... and look perfe

I've had my compact Maytag washer (the Neptune) for two years. Living in a mobile home, I needed a washer that was exceptionally compact. I also needed something of a workhorse to keep up with a teenager's constant wardrobe changes as well as some relatively bulky (although not particularly heavy) items. I've found this machine meets these criteria, it's quite easy to set and use, and it's water and energy efficient.
Definitely worth the money I paid for it.

I have a very small space for a washer and dryer, so I was extremely happy to find out Maytag made one in this size. It works so much better than the other one I had with a top load washer. It seems to fit more items as well, since there isn't the agitator in the middle--like the top load models. All of my clothes come out really clean! Definitely worth the price! Read more
