I love my dryer! I have 5 kids and I do a lot of laundry!! I had big expectations of my new dryer. It had to handle large loads, dry them quickly and be relatively quiet. This dryer is all of that and more. I have to keep turning the knob to less dry because it drys everything so quickly and efficiently. This dryer is quiet and I can put a lot of jeans and towels in without a problem. I love that I can turn the buzzer off. I am not nuts about the lint catch being on top of the dryer. As I pull it out, particles and stuff tend to drop on top of the dryer. It is a small bother. This is a great dryer for the price. I ordered it online on a Saturday morning and had it delivered less than 24 hours later on a Sunday morning. Too cool. Read more

This dryer was purchased online, and delivered by Home Depot with installation and pickup of the old system. PURCHASE: Went very well, was easy to do, and even included the scheduling of the time online. There was a follow up via phone from the local store, and the installation crew was timely on their work. DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION: Timely delivery, and done very quickly. The new dryer came with a major dent in the top control panel that was found when it was uncrated on the truck. The crew offered to either request a discount or take it back and deliver another. Since the dent was cosmetic only, we chose the discount, which was reasonable. The installation was done quickly and professionally, with the setup of the new and removal done well. Crew was friendly and competent. PERFORMANCE: We have several challenges, including a roof vented dryer system that's about 12' long, and heavy use needs (14 year old paraplegic son requiring a lot of washing/drying). I purchased this dryer for my parents who are 84 years old. They had their last dryer, a Kenmore for 38 years. It was still working. After lots of shopping and comparing I chose the Maytag and I'm glad I did. They have been using it for 3 weeks and it works nicely and seems quite efficient. It is easy to operate and has very nice features. The drum is much larger than their old one. I did purchase a 2 year extended warranty which I am hoping I will not need. I found the salesman at Home Depot to be quite helpful and he assured me that I was making a sound purchase. The whole purchase was handled nicely and the delivery team was great! They had to remove a door to get it in, no problem, they installed it, stayed while it ran for awhile, answered all our questions and removed the old dryer. I would recommend this Maytag dryer to anyone and definitely purchasing it at Home Depot. My mom is enjoying it so- so far so good! I do a lot of sewing for civil war reenacting, which means laundering large loads of fabric - sometimes 15 yards or more at a time. The materials I use range from delicate cotton voile to heavyweight wool and each fabric requires different drying times/levels. This dryer is more than capable of drying anything I put into it, even non reenacting stuff like towels, jeans, duvet covers, & dog beds.
