This is a great little flyer. I have been into r/c planes for about 2 years, and this was my first venture into helicopters...and my first venture into Air Hogs. Although I knew it did not have full proportional control, I figured that it would be a fun little gizmo around the house. I was right! After 3-5 minutes setting the trim, the reflex was hovering and flying great. It is very, very durable. The rotars will dislocate upon crash, which saves you from breaking them...although you are provided 4 extras with the original packaging (2 top and 2 bottom). Charging takes about 70 minutes, with about 10-12 minutes flight time. Well worth it, considering most helicopters in this price range require charging from the controller batteries...which can get expensive. It takes a good 6-8 flights to really get the hang of it. My wife got this for me for Christmas. Everyone was jealous. It took some time to get it right, but it was fun learning. My 25 yr. old son used it when I was at work, and broke the blade counter weight off, as well as one side thrust prop. He bought me a new one, as well as one for himself. He is heavy handed when it comes to gadgets, so I wasn't surprised, and didn't blame the helicopter. [...] now every guy in the family that has seen and played with it, wants one. They will ALL be getting it. It is a blast, and I fly it every day. Really fun. As far as the bad reviews, it takes a bit of patience, but it is well worth the effort! It's perfect.The dual propellers provide stable lift and it floats around. Propellers on the back push it forward and backward. When it first came out, it was quite expensive but they have reduced the price now. Warning: do not give it to your 6 year old kids like a ball. If you do, I guarantee it will break within a day.the wall charger is a relief because I was starting to hate charging it from the remote like other products. The batteries in the remote now last twice as long. Also, with a cheap adapter, you can charge it from the car. It is fun, easy to use, and you are in total control.You have forward, backward,left, right, up, and down control. It's easy but you MUST get used to the controls first.If you thought you were a pro because you could fly a Havoc Heli around the living room, you were TOTALLY wrong. These Reflex helicopters are great! I was worried they'd fly poorly and break like the [$] helicopters I purchased for Christmas (another brand), but they've been crashed so many times today, and they're still going strong. My boys are 14 and 16, and they said these Reflexes are so much better because they have different directions they can fly in, they're sturdier, they're easier to fly, their battery charges last about 30 minutes (as apposed to 5 minutes for the cheaper helicopters), and they have replacement blades, which they haven't needed yet. Air Hog was also kind enough to include the 9V battery in the box. I was sick about having to spend so much money on these helicopters, but they seem to be worth it. My guys have been playing with them all day. Don't waste your money on the [$] helicopters, because they're very difficult to fly, and they break so easily! Read more
