This is a great rack. It's a different construction than the other bike racks I used in the past as it just has one pivot point and the bottom and side straps are actually just two straps that run from the bottom of the truck lid, through the rack, and then to the side of the trunk lid. It worked best on my Mazda 626 so that the bikes are held high. It looks a little funny but I can leave the front wheel of my mountain bike on during transit and not worry about it hitting the ground. Also this rack has the bike stability feature that holds the middle tube of the frame for, well, better stability. I've had no problems with the rack looking or feeling like it was going to fall off my car and I've put it through some rigorous tests on back roads [...] Read more

I love my bike, but I don't love installing bike racks! I'm quite a girl when it comes to things like this, but even I made it work. At times, the installation instructions were confusing--it was hard to decipher what straps the pictures and steps were referring to. It took me a while, but the result was worth it. I safely got my bike home without a scratch to my car! It's durable and reasonably priced. And the best part is now I can bring my bike with me when I travel! :) Read more

Haven't had any trouble yet but have only had it a month. The newly designed rack uses rubber straps and the mounts are firmly attached so some of the earlier flaws have been fixed. Only problem I could see is if your bike had an odd geometry it would be tough to mount on this rack. Also tough to mount a womens and a mens bike at the same time. Read more

A great overall rack that installed in less than 20 minutes. Its very solidly built and fits well on the trunk of my car. The only minor problem is that the sides of my car trunk are not completely vertical. They come down at angle and so the side straps tend slide down over time. Read more

I've owned/borrowed several examples of this type of rack, and this is the best. It sets up easily, and thanks to the seat tube clamp, the bike is literally immovable. On extended trips, the straps will loosen a bit, so be sure to check them when you stop for lunch or whatever. Oh yeah: I can also open my trunk with the rack (and even with the bike) installed. Nice! Read more
