I blew a pair of mtx6000 subs, and these sound crisper and tighter then the mtx ever have. I have a 1000 watt amp bridged and they handle the power with no problems. I am still breaking them in and haven't pushed them to the full capacity yet, but they rattle the whole cab of the truck. Easy to install under the seats so no big box needed on the back seat. Read more

The best sub i've ever owned! The terminals are all on one side which is a great feature! The sound is amazing even when switching from metal to rap to techno. The spyder has tons of travel and i havnt been able to bottom it out yet. All in all i would recomend this sub above others in its price range like the P3 fosgate (they tend to crack themselves). Read more

This product is a very good choice for a small but very powerful sub. I built my own box and it was easy to install with the MRP-M450 amp which also powers it very well. The sub allows me to listen to my music weather its country or rap with a very good bass sound. It aslo looks as good as it sounds with the TYPE R emblem.
I could only fit 1 in my truck, which is realy plenty but if i had more room then i would put another one. I did alot of research and i feel tis sub is the best sub for the money and performs better than the Rockford P3. I LOVE MY SUB and would deffinitley recomend it to anyone looking for added bass at a resonable price. Read more

I got two of these subs as a gift. They hit hard have good sound. Price range is not bad compared to some of the other sub's out there. I owned last years model of these subs and they completly fell apart on me. I got off of work and it was a hot day about 120F. Hit the bumbs on all sounded good but 3 days later I poped my trunk for whatever. My poor Alpines were dead. The heat caused the glue around the speakers to break free. Alpines cheap fix for this problem was installing a rubber gasket around speaker. So far so good but the true test is in the extrem heat. Be for worned if you live in places with extrem heat like Cali Deserts or AZ. Read more

Have had these subs for two years now, got them my final year of high school and have used them since. Have held up without a problem. Back then when I purchased these I was looking for something with a little more hit then these but bought them anyways. So if your looking for something that you can hear three blocks away these are not for you. Now that my music taste of changed a little these subs are amazing. The best response I can find and they have been on the market for three or four years now. Doesn't miss a beat but manages to still produce a deep great bass sound.
Definitely would purchase again. Read more
