We bought this bedroom furniture 2.5 years ago for our first daughter and it is still in excellent condition! It is made of sturdy solid wood and has held up well through toddlerhood. My husband and I (in our mid 20's) assembled the crib together with little to no problems. We used the crib for the first 1.5 years and minus the small teeth marks on the front-rail/foot-board from when she was teething it still looks brand new (highly recommend gummy rails BTW!!!!). I converted it to the toddler bed all by myself one day while my husband was at work and stored the front-rail/foot-board in her closet. She really didn't need to toddler rail on it but I didn't like the holes on the side rails being exposed. I just recently converted the bed using the full conversion kit and again did it on my own. I would recommend at least two people to assemble as I had to use chairs/step ladders to hold up the opposite ends of the bed rails while I screwed them in and one fell scratching the inside leg … Read more

My husband and I immediately loved this crib when we saw it. We picked it up last weekend and LOVE it in the nursery. Its very sharp looking and great quality. The espresso color is gorgeous against the lavender accents we choose. The color even looks a like it has mahogany undertones in it. [...] My husband had relativly no problems getting it together himself - however a second person is helpful.With all that said, there are two things to warn possible buyers about. FIRST, when you get the crib home and take out all the parts, the instructions are located zip-tied to the mattress spring that is boxed seperately. NOT in the bag that says "Parts and instructions" (go figure) - we had a fit, called babies r us to complain it didn't have instructions and was informed of the location of them. SECOND, if you are not having this delivered, be prepared for the extreme size of the box. You will need a pick-up truck with a full size bed to bring it home. THE BEST CRIB EVER!!!!

My husband and I just got this crib a couple weeks ago and I must say it’s my favorite part of our nursery. We searched and searched and couldn’t find a crib that we liked until we came across this one. It has everything a good quality crib should have. It’s very sturdy, doesn’t have a drop side rail (which makes it safer), the assembly was incredibly easy, the conversion seems to be really easy and we are really happy knowing that we will have a beautiful full size bed for our son or daughter, and it has an open back which was important because we wanted to make sure that we were able to tie back our bumper pad and it looks like a 1000 dollar crib! Wonderful gorgeous crib! We were due Jan 07 and almost bought this set in tea stain and figured we'd replace all the stuff once we went to a big bed with espresso from PBK. Luckily we waited until 2wks before my due date because this stain came out just in time. This crib is so STURDY It'll live up to the "grow with you" marketing. Some have mentioned no dropside as a con but they make a dropside crib to this "set" I wanted one with out the dropside and at 5'4 have no trouble with it's height. Our son is a yr old soon and it still looks new, and yes he sleeps in it :) Read more

my husband and I looked at a lot of cribs and feel in love with this one because it matched the wood work in our home. We purchased the matching armoire and changer as well. We are extremely satisfied thus far....our little guy isn't here yet so I can't comment on how he likes it but I am pretty sure he will. My only words of caution if you want to put a mobile up you have to do so from the front of the crib due to it's curvy design, I am fine with this, but test a mobile out and make sure you are. There is also a small defect in the wood at the top but this is expected it's made from wood and wood has it's flaws so I took it with a grain of salt. It took my husband and I no time to set it up and I am very happy with it. So far we don't have any scratches and that was a major concern with this dark of a stain. Read more
