        About three months or so ago, I was ordered by my doctor to purchase this book. Doctors have so little time these days, and this gave me an actual guideline to follow.

Buying the book through Overstock.com, made it easy on my time and pocketbook to do so.

This book is loaded with humor: relevant facts about nutrients and digestion; the purposes and workings of our internal organs; where hormones are produced and how we screw them up. My most confounding surprise came when the book revealed that the human body has an &quot;Omentum&quot;. This thing called an &quot;Omentum&quot; explained many mysteries for me. It&apos;s about time that someone had the initiative and gumption to bring this to our attention.

Reading this book has led me into five different research projects to heal myself and my family. It has succeeded in moving me to make changes that are beneficial to our lives.

Since reading this book, I have purchased more as presents for family and friends. The authors have truely been inspirational in

        I have mixed feelings about this book. Even though we are all hoping to open up a weight loss book and find an effortless way to lose those unwanted pounds, we all know that the only way to lose weight is by eating less, exercising more, or both. Hence, if you strip away all the elf pictures and humor, &quot;You: On a Diet&quot; really has nothing more to offer than that. So if you&apos;re looking for a new slant to things, or some cutting edge weight loss plan, you&apos;ll probably be disappointed.Having said that, for what it is, a quite entertaining weight loss book that explains in plain language how your body gains/loses weight, and details a sensible diet and exercise plan, it is well worth your time and money.         I have read a lot of books on the subject of diets and this has to be one of the best I have ever read. For the first time, I understand why I should or should not eat certain things. I understand how the body works and why we gain weight and what needs to be done to stay healthy. I have purchased copies of this book for my daughters and friends.
