I got this pillow on a whim as my wife had been talking about my snoring as being really disruptive. I've been feeling really bad about it since I really value being with my wife and it being a good thing. Sleepless nights aren't good for marital bliss.

So walking through the mall, I saw the pillow and took the leap.

The first good thing that happened, which I know the others didn't get, was that the sales girl told me how to use it. When you open the bag with the pillow there aren't any obvious instructions on how to use it so if she didn't tell me I would probably have been really dissatified like the others. You really can sleep on this thing wrong and it's at such an angle that it would definitely hurt your neck.

The pillow simply forces you to sleep on your side and provides the functional set up so that it's comfortable. I've tried side sleeping and it was never good as my neck or shoulders would get all messed up.

This pillow is very firm. You put your lower hand

This pillow isn't for everyone. My wife and I both bought one. She found hers uncomfortable because she likes to sleep on her back, and of course the pillow is designed to prevent that. My wife no longer uses her pillow. I have mild sleep apnea and I think the pillow helps with that. Even without using the arm loops on the bottom, the pillow encourages you to sleep on your side with your head tilted slightly downward. This causes your jaw to fall forward when you relax during sleep, thus reducing snoring and apnea. Yeah, it was a little uncomfortable at first, but after some use, I find the pillow quite comfortable now. Again, I don't use the arm loops, but even without that I still rarely wake up on my back anymore. I kept the plastic carrying bag the pillow came in and use it to transport the pillow everywhere I go. The pillow case on the pillow started to tear after a few washings, so I've bought an extra pillow case. This pillow case seems to be a little more sturdy than

A pleasant surprise

My wife, who is a physician, suggested I try the Sona pillow after I found using a CPAP for moderate sleep apnea simply unbearable. I was skeptical, given that the sleep meds people I had seen had never suggested it and told me the only alternatives were CPAP or surgery, but to my amazement the pillow gave me the first decent, non-snoring night sleep I have had in years. I have been using it now for about six weeks and both my wife and I are delighted--she says I no longer snore and I feel like I am getting a good night's sleep. The only drawback is that the pillow is very firm and it takes some getting used to--but much less than the dreaded CPAP! I would hope that the manufacturers can come up with a stuffing that is a little kinder on the neck and cheeks. Read more

I only give it one star because "0" was not an option. I would sleep better without a pillow or even on a brick than on this thing. The design is us unattractive, uncomfortable and useless. If you’re on a Queen bed or smaller, your arm will be in your partners’ face or they could roll over onto your hand and sprain your wrist. On my side, half my arm was on my night stand. I had this pillow about two minutes and I was done with it. It’s going on the auction block, or in the trash. I wouldn’t give it to a friend because I like my friends. At worst, I’ll donate it to a charity. I have no idea what they were thinking when they made this extremely overpriced pillow.

While using the product correctly, it does work as advertised, but as you sleep you tend to roll off and use it just like a normal pillow. It doesn't really decrease snoring unless you are able to remain in its recommended position. Read more
