I purchased my first Tempur-Pedic sleep mask and liked it so much that I decided to buy another one for the road. I shopped around for a bargain and ended up spending nearly $50 on different masks, over a 3 month period, that claimed to be "as good as the Tempur-Pedic. These included: Lites [$] out and Sleep Master [$]. What makes the Tempur-Pedic so special. First, it you've ever seen the commercials about how Tempur-Pedic mattresses conform to your body, imagine this same concept but on a "face-sized scale". Zero light leaks in around the nose bridge. Second, the cup space over your eyes allow nature eye movement during REM sleep (no dry eye balls). Lights Out claims to do this, however it simply is not try. Finally, the straps are wide and do not cut into your ears while you sleep. In otherwords, the fit is snug without leaving a mark on you ear when you get up. Think the Tempur-Pedic is pricey? I initally purchased this item to wear on a very long (13 hour) plane ride for our honeymoon. This blindfold is amazing - it completely blacksout everything around you. All I needed were my earplugs, headrest & this mask and I was all set for my 13 hour plane ride. I have had other masks in the past but I have always pulled them off (b/c of their discomfort) and none of them were ever as effective as this one! It is so comfortable you totally forget it is on your face. I know where this mask every night b/c I go to sleep early & my husband comes home he likes to read in bed. With this blindfold I can be sleeping & he can turn on the lights & read and I am non the wiser! This is the best[$] I've ever spent! Read more

I have great difficulty sleeping at night with lights on, and my husband needs a night light always. I have tried many different eye masks, but until now I had never experienced such a comfortable one. This eye mask is the best ever, keeps the light out, entirely, so I can use it day or night. The mask offers enough space in front of my eyes so that I can blink without it touching my eye lashes, and I have long eye lashes. The material of the mask feels so soft on my skin and its shape molds to my face perfectly. It's easy to wash. The velcro allows a perfect adjustment to the size of my head, and the mask stays on all night! I could not sleep without it again. Love it! I've owned and used this for years. I love it. In my experience, most eye masks put pressure on the eyes which is very bad for them. Not this one! It is extremely comfortable, stays put, not a single particle of light gets through, and even after years of use, there is no sign of wear. It even washes well. I use it when I travel, when I get migraines, and when my beloved and I get a little adventurous. I was leery of it being hot because of the foam; but, it isn't. I'm ordering a new one now because I loaned mine to someone on a flight and it wasn't returned to be. It seems expensive to buy; but, works so well and wears so well that it is actually a bargain. I am a shift worker and I was having a really difficult time sleeping during the day to prepare for my midshift. I had trouble falling asleep and I woke up at least 4-5 times during my nap. I was always terribly tired and was concerned about driving home at the end of my shift. I am normally an extreme budget shopper and I balked at the price of this sleep mask at first. However, I was desperate and I decided to spend the money and try it. I put the mask on and settled down to sleep on a really bright morning. The mask was a little heavier than I expected, but it was extremely comfortable. Most importantly, I was in complete darkness. I fell asleep within minutes. What is even more remarkable is that I slept until my alarm woke me up. Happily, my concern now is waking up late. This product has been incredibly useful to me and I would highly recommend it.
