This unit is amazing. I would recommend it to anyone with a 150sqft room or smaller. It cools the room off instantly even in humid weather. The only downside was installation which was to be expected. It took 3 hours. But that is because every window is unique. It comes with some weather stripping which shocked me as my last whirlpool didn't, but you also will need more. This is a newer model than one I had before and it lives up to the whirpool name. great value..inserts into window easily..cools a small to medium bedroom evenly..room gets even cooler with a ceiling fan...only small problem is that you must attach the window curtain, the instructions are not concise and the curtains are not marked to distinguish right from left. The holes in the air conditioner chassis do not align properly with the holes in the window curtain so you do not get a flush fit. Perfect unit for a small space like a studio apartment or bedroom. The only drawback is that the thermometer is too close to the moter, so it shows a much higher temperature (80 degrees when it is probably more like 74). Not much ability to change the direction of the air flow. Great price! Read more

Excellent for the money. Cools small room well, runs quiet. Only complaint is that running "energy saver" causes very big temp swings due to thermometer being close to coil. It thinks the room is very cold and won't turn on until the entire unit warms up internally. Leaving the fan run in "auto" solves this. It is explained in the manual. Read more
