Here's a sturdy, attractive, & efficient coffee brewer that makes a pot of coffee quickly and quietly and then sends out a signal it is ready. Very nice! This unit is easy to clean too and the machine 'innards' will tell you if it getting scale build up. Really thoughtful, right along with the built-in washable filter. If you remember to preheat the carafe, you'll have hot coffee for hours! Three cups to ten, very flexible. I use mine with a separate permanent filter and a paper filter and the brew is excellent. Ignore any negative review you may read about this product. I was turned off by reading bad reviews[@] and then bought a Cuisinart, which I used for 2 days and immediately returned. This is a wonderful coffee maker and I have absolutely no complaints. I love the 1 to 3 cup feature, and that it tells you when to decalcify! The replaceable water filter is also a great feature. I will never switch from Krups again! Read more

The first couple of times this coffee maker was used the coffee tasted good but after only several uses it began having a subtle plastic flavor that has only worsened. It's such a shame for such an expensive piece of equipment and now I'm stuck with plastic coffee for the next few years since I can't afford to buy a replacement. Very disappointed :( Read more
