what can i say, i hate to give these guys such a bad rating, but unless you have the feet of an elf, they're probably no good for you. I was very excited to finally own a pair of vasques, and the specs on these shoes are outstanding for the price. I wore them around a bit, and was excited by the initial fit and comfort. However, after a 3 hour drive to chicago, during which time I had the shoes on but not tied, i began to feel like an 18th century japanese noble woman. I have never ever had a problem with width before, but these guys seem to be built to reduce drag. i am very disappointed. as much as i want these vasque boots, i'm going to have to send them back. i hate giving such an otherwise great boot such a low rating, but vasque's customer service was not what i had hoped. when i contacted them, they basically told me that it wasn't their problem. fair enough, but that's not the way to win over new customers. This is my 4th pair and I'm torture on boots. I have this brand new pair waiting on standby. These are put on and go boots. I wear them for almost daily hikes in very rocky rough terrain as well as winter snowshoeing. I buy Vasques because I always get a good fit for my odd sized feet (very narrow heel.. long and skinny). Good ankle support as well. A very tough boot for the weight. I hope to always have a new pair ready to go. Read more

This is 4th pair of these shoes I've owned and I wish I ordered two pair instead of one. I have both the low tops and the high tops. I have worn them a lot in very moist and even wet areas and have never had wet feet. They wear well and I've never had a failer, simply wear the soles away after probably several hundred miles of service in all types terrain. Read more

These boots fit very well. My feet are size 14 1/2, but the 15s fit great. Insoles are lame, but that was expected. Very few shoe makers put decent insoles in their products. My only complaint is the glitter in the sole rubber. It's very small, and you have to look closely to see it. Give me a break! MENS hiking boots that sparkle??? That ain't right... Read more
