Great microwave/oven combo

Looks bright and fits nicely into our kitchen. I bought this combo. to replace a broken microwave and 25-yr old oven combo. We had a GE microwave that worked for 9 years, so we were impressed with GE. The microwave has lots of convenient and sensor cooking button features which are really helpful, as well as the quick one touch buttons. I'm not accustomed to sensor cooking yet, so the reheat leftovers feature cooks food much hotter than we like, but we are still learning how to use all the different codes. I like that each unit has its own timer, so you get two built-in kitchen timers. The oven's bottom element is hidden, so it has a nice flat easy-to-clean surface. It does take about 9-10 minutes to preheat to 350 F though...my old oven had a preheat feature and could do it in 4-5 mins! However, we are very pleased with it so far. It was installed 22 days ago and I've baked a LOT for the Christmas season. No problems yet! Read more

Replacement for an older GE combo conventional / microwave oven that was unrepairable. We needed to fit exactly into the old cabinet. The new oven was slightly too wide for the opening but this was overcome by cutting and shaving the cabinet. I am very pleased with the new unit. The only negative aspect is the oven seems to heat unusually slowly. Read more
