It has a lovely feminine shape, perfect for an hourglass figure. It is fitted on top and has a nice A line for the bottom. The belt fits around the ribcage under the bust, which is more flattering than on or below the natural waist. The fit is true to size, maybe even a bit small to size. As another reviewer suggested, you may want to try a size up if you tend to dress in bulkier layers. I ordered both the black and the natural and have decided to keep the black. The natural is a pretty color but collects lint pretty easily as well as showing wrinkles in the fabric. The touch of gold on the buttons are great and I like the larger collar. The only downside is the lint, which really isn't too bad on the black, and I don't really care for the baby phat metal logo plate on the back of the coat (although it is fairly small). I bought this coat in white and it looks beautiful. The only problem is that lint tends to stick to the coat and it gets noticeable since the coat is white. The buttons are beautiful and the tie belt is what gives the shapely form. However, the belt is connected to the coat by weak string. On the first night, one of the strings detached and I had to sow it back on. I'm a size L, but I bought this in XL to give myself extra space for when I wear layers for winter. If you wear thick layers, you might want to do the same. I brought it in Black and it is the perfect coat for the nighttime, to sexy it up a bit keep it open and tie the belt back- Really Flatters the figure then. Another plus is that the BabyPhat logo isn't plastered ALL OVER. like some of of her wear. Then only true concerns is with the sizing. I have a larger bust, so i will get the gaps inbetween the buttons if i button all the way up. but this is with all of her clothing that is not cotton (stretch).
