The inside is gold silk lining, very thick and warm. If you live in the north country of new york then this is the coat you need. I like to be in style and this jacket goes perfectly with my look. The only drawback with this jacket that I have found is that the band at the bottom is a little tight and so be careful on the size you pick. I purchased a medium and I am 4'11 and about 110. It was a little tight on me. I am still keeping it because it fits. I just won't be wearing any sweaters with this coat. Not only will I be warm this winter but I will be warm and sexy which is important. The only problem I have with this jacket which did not come as such a big surprise, the sleeves are not as long as they appear in the picture. I purchased this jacket 2 sizes bigger and the sleeves are not long enough, but I almost expect that with long sleeves for me because I have long arms.
