Open cell foam with gel is outstanding comfort. Not the excess "bulky feel" you get with other highly padded shorts. Nice 2 inches of mesh below waist band along back to shed moisture. Fabric is silky smooth, not scratchy. Leg grippers hold, but don't grab your skin. I tested the shorts out on a 70 mile ride in hot Texas sun and under overpants in Alaska in 10 degrees and they passed with flying colors. Best cycling short I have ever worn and I've tried almost all the brands. I've bought two more pairs and just ordered the capris to see if they're as good. Read more

I love everything about these shorts except the waistband. Mine keeps turning inside the short and causes discomfort during the ride. These were not comfortable to wear during commute to and from bike trails. However, the padding is excellent and the material feels great between myself and the saddle. Read more
