The oven has no visible burner. It keeps a steady temperature for baking. It preheats quickly, if you use the 'broiler' setting and then switch it to bake. Otherwise it is slow to preheat. It is easy to clean and I love that they are a space-saving unit. The microwave doubles as a warming oven as well to keep things warm until they are served.
