It fit comfortably in our little Honda Accord. Our daughter is 8 months old and we switched to this carseat about 2 weeks ago because she no longer falls asleep in the car and the carrier was no longer beneficial. We are going to do extended rear-facing because its so much safer, and this seat goes up to 35 lbs rf-ing, which is the highest we could find. The straps are SO EASY to adjust based on when she's wearing a coat, jacket, or just a onesie -- much easier than the infant carrier was. We love how plush it is and our daughter loves feeling the soft fabric. The cover comes off so its easy to throw in the laundry and clean if a little spit up or formula gets on it. The few times she has fallen asleep in it her head has not fallen forward like other reviewers have talked about. We tried out a half a dozen seats in various price ranges and settled on this one because it was one of the only ones that our daughter was comfortable in. Now she is almost one year old and 24 pounds. Since this seat has a RF limit of 35lbs, we intend to keep her RF for a while, so I'm not sure how this seat works out forward facing. In any case, our daughter seems extremely comfortable and happy in her seat and I love the fact that I can get her in and out with great ease. Here in Ohio, the weather could be sunny one second and pouring down rain, sleet, snow or all of the above the next. The knob adjustments (which are loud enough to wake a lightly sleeping baby) and sliding shoulder markers make for a much easier transition than any other seat I've ever seen. We have used this seat in a 1998 Dodge Neon and a 1997 Honda Oddesey and haven't had any issues with either. We were a little intimidated at first over the size of this seat, but once we saw how easy it was to install, we knew it was going to be a seat that was well worth it! What a comfortable ride for our baby! Our 5th child was a surprise, we were 8 years out of car seats. My how things had changed! The quality and construction cannot be beat....we only wish we would've had this seat with the other four (and are sure we could have used it with ALL of them!!) He loves it! Now when I put him in he is happy and sometimes he gets in on his own if I'm not quick enough. It cleans off real good all you neede is a wet cloth for small spots. Taking it off to put in the washer is a little tricky but not more so then my other one. It is bulky but most car seats I found are. If you're looking for a convertible car seat this is the one to get.
