I could not mount it flush enough against the player and my son could still push the plastic against the player and work the buttons. It may have eventually deterred him since he couldn't actually push the buttons, but I didn't want the disc drive to be damaged in the meantime. He also figured out how to pull it off. But at least it makes it difficult enough that he eventually just won't play anymore.
