THE tv worked fine for 11 months. It decided to quit when I most needed it. It was working and I left the room for a telephone call and when I returned the screen was black. The On/Off function was still working. I could still turn the TV on and Off as indicated by the changing color of the power light. No sound no picture, no anything.Warranty stinks.6 weeks later still waiting on replacement. Read more

This tv was fine for about 5 months. Then the volume and channel movement stopped working. We asked AKAI what we needed to do. They first said they had 2 weeks to find a repair person in our area then it went to 30 days. They also said we could ship to California at our expense. (so much for a warranty on a 5 month old TV. Expensive lesson - do not buy their brand unless you get all specifics regarding warranty. Read more

Worked great for 3 months then screen turned green. AKAI had repairman pick it up who has since refused to return emails or phone calls. Have not seen repairman since. That was 6 weeks ago. AKAI says they will resolve the issue sometime in the next 6 weeks. I will never buy an AKAI product agin! Read more

I have owned the Scott version LCD tv for almost a year.The LCD started to develop a wide line after 6 months.i have been getting the run-around from AKAI for several months. This has been, by far, the best purchase I've done at RadioShack. Everything from the image to the overall look of the product is perfect.
