This flag was beautiful when it arrived. I purchased it in June 2008. It has already tattered and faded. Brookstone told me to phone the ANNIN Flag Company in NJ - the manufacturer of the flag. ANNIN told me that the flag is only expected to last for 3-4 months. I was stunned since Brookstone's page leads one to believe that these flags are fade and tatter resistant for many years of use. Customer service at Brookstone heard the guy at ANNIN tell me about the 3-4 month duration and even Brookstone was shocked by this claim. I believe the ONLY way this flag will last is if you ONLY display it on holidays and remove it for storage at other times. Read more

I have spent my lifetime using those $5.99 flag with pole combinations that are sold every patriotic holiday. They were all sub-par, the flag twisted at the slightest breeze, and the colors of the flag ran in the course of a year or so. If not that, then the flag colors would fade and run and the flag would "self-destruct" as fast. I feel proud to fly the best of the best flag, the symbol of our country! Read more

First, the flag is absolutely top quality and beautiful. It is, in fact, the same brand of flag we flew at my school 50 years ago, and the quality of embroidery, etc., has not diminished. Second, although I had never seen a flag mounted this way before, it absolutely does not tangle or roll even in the strongest of gusty days. Read more

I have this flag on the flagpole [...]. It is great because it swivals and doesn't get tangled in the wind. It has lasted and without fading in our hot southern sun and stormy autumns.
