It doesn't get any better than this - especially with the screen! It uses a new type of OLED screen that is viewable from ANY angle in almost any lighting! I bought this as a birthday present for my boyfriend and he got a huge kick out of it. Since we're quite a distance apart, it's nice to have pictures handy. The viewer charges and loads pictures easily - the software does the image conversion for you. The only disadvantage is the resolution. Clear face shots work best with this device. Any distance on the image and you quickly lose detail. However, it's small and inexpensive which stand in its favor. I would buy this again. Read more

I bought this for my girlfriend who is traveling overseas so she could have a portable reminder of home. I had no idea what I was in for...It all seemed great at first. Then I had to deal with the software. The software is pretty simple and seems to be alright at first glance, but it takes a lifetime to transfer photos, or if you cancel the software out and want to re-open it, you must spend time loading to see what pictures are already on it.After I had finally gotten all the pictures on there, about 30% of them had huge blurry lines in the middle of the photo. This is coming from a very nice Nikon camera, I call tech support, lady tells me that I should re-size them to 640x480. I re-size 20 photos which takes forever, do it all over and 6 still have lines in them. I was so fed up with it, I just left the stupid things, figuring my girlfriend would know what the picture was.Now that I have all the pictures on there, it's a nice little gadget, but I spent literally two hours getting th … Read more

This device provides all the quality and performance I would have expected from a [$] digital keychain photo frame. The picture is indeed bright and the included software make loading your own images a breeze. Don't expect your images to look like the one in the ad however. The device resolution will display photos that are recognizable but lacking the clarity of the bigger brother frames. I am not disappointed by this fact and would consider gifting this product to any of my photo geek friends. I got my [$] worth. Read more

My 2 Cents from Belgium

I got this keychain from my girlfriend's parents when they visited friends in Florida and they brought it back to Europe. I thought it looked (and still do) very cool, i've never seen someone else with a digital keychain! So the installation process went very smoothly,only a minute or so, and then i started charging it with the usb-cable and a battery symbol appeared which cleary indicates it is charging. (naturally it also comes with a charger, but since it's US spec, you can't use it in Europe as the electricity net is different) I showed it to a lot of people and they all thought it was a nice gadget to have... Untill now. A couple of days ago it didn't work anymore. I thought the battery was flat since i used it quite a few times and it was the first time i used it. I didn't get around to recharging it until today. So i plug it in the computer and it acknowledges that the device is plugged in, i can put new foto's on the device BUT it will not recharge. As a Christmas gift, I hadn't really started to use this until recently (June). But I was still incredibly amazed. I barely had to look back at the owner's guide to use the keychain. And I was so excited to attach it to my keys and show all my friends. It's such a great way to keep recent vacations in your pocket-- much better than a cell phone screen and way more conveniant than a digital camera. However, the real reason I stopped by brookstone.com today was to see if there was anyway to fix the small software problems I've been having. Interestingly enough, the actual keychain is not the problem, but the software can sometimes be moody (isn't all technology these days?) ALL IN ALL I LOVE THIS KEYCHAIN AND RECOMMEND IT FOR ANYONE LOOKING FOR A QUICK GIFT THAT WILL PUT A SMILE ON THE RECIPIANT'S FACE! Read more

My son gave me this for Chanukah, and I was amazed at how well it works. The image is very good -- nowhere as good as the one in the product shot online, which is clearly done in photoshop, bu darned good for an inexpensive little device. The software is amazing. Here are 2 tips: a) you will get better results if you reduce the size of the image, balance out the contrast ratio, and sharpen it before uploading it; b) expect to zoom in on your images -- low resolution won't impact them so much, then. That will improve your results quite a bit. I have two children, 17 and 20, and I uploaded both current and photos from when they were babies, photos of my girlfriend and me, my deceased father and Alzheimer's stricken mother...in short, in 62 images, you can put a big piece of your life. I actually returned this product because it comes with a small software CD (one of those half-size discs) that doesn't work in my laptop's slot-loading computer drive. Although I would imagine it works well on computers that have a tray-loading disc drive, I would not recommend it if you have a laptop or computer with a slot-loading drive. Read more

I bought this for my husband for his birthday. I really love the design, and idea of him being able to have a keychain with pictures of his family with him at all times since he does travel quite often. He used it on his keychain for about a week, and the screen was all scratched up...I knew that was going to happen so I bought the protection plan, and took it back in hopes to also purchase a cover for it. Well [...] makes a cover (in various colors) for the keychain but the cover doesn't even protect the screen. Needless to say, I love the concept, however it's not practice to carry on your keychain (so why would you buy it) IF [...] was smarter they would have made a cover with a clear plastic screen protector and this item would be great! Other than that, it was easy to use (upload the pics) and pretty good quality as far as image on the screen. Read more
