I went on a family vacation to New York City for a week recently and forgot to bring my Nikon ENEL3 battery charger that came with my D200. Although I had a fully charged battery when we arrived in NYC, I realized after a several days that it would need a recharge. Luckily B&H Camera had this nifty little Impact charger and within a few hours in our hotel room, my battery was fully charged. It is lightweight and stores easily in my camera bag. Another great feature is that it comes with an additional cord to plug into a cigarette lighter for emergency charges anywhere. The Impact Charger works great and now travels with me everywhere. I had the original Nikon charger and lost it while traveling. Purchased this as a replacement and began to realize how nice it is to have a compact and versatile charger. It is extremely convenient to plug into the wall outlet compared to the Nikon, there is no extra cord to deal with. The car charger has been very useful again and again! The compactness of the charger makes packing it a snap. My batteries are always ready for a long day of shooting. This charger is outstanding for being on the go. I bought this charger to replace my Nikon charger that I left behind while shooting a wrestling tournament. I ended up picking this up instead mainly because it was $30 cheaper, but it works fine. It's not as fast charging but still does the job it needs to do. The plug is built into the housing of the charger which I thought at first would be a nice feature, but is kind of a pain when I need to use it in a power strip or somewhere I can't fit the entire charger. It does come with the DC adapter which is nice so I can juice up a battery while I'm driving to an event, although it is significantly slower so unless it's a long drive it might not even be worth it.In the end I am overall happy with the charger, considering it was $30 cheaper then the Nikon. I bought this charger after reading a review on Luminous Landscape, specifically because it is compact with no A/C power cord, and because it also includes a car charger cord.Earlier this year, I was shooting soccer pictures at a tournament and one of my batteries ran out. If only I had invested the [$] for the charger prior to that tournament, then I could have recharged the depleted battery while I kept shooting.It isn't as fast as the Nikon MH-18a charger, but it is great none the less. I lost my battery charger a month ago, don't know how but it happened. If there is a critical piece in my equipment is the battery charger, the camera doesn't work with not batteries, so I wasn't able to use it util I got it.Pretty straightforward, the charger is super cool. Charges fast, the batteries are fully charged and the best feature is that I can charge it in the car. It's a pretty good feature.
