This really is the greatest thing since sliced bread for gardeners! I own a lot of yard gear, and this long-handled weeder has to be my favorite gadget of all time outside the house. It extracts weeds effectively by their entire roots. You never need to stoop over thanks to the comfortable long handle and easy to use foot lever. You just center the head over the weed, step on the lever and rock the handle back. Dandelions, plantain, even tufts of grass and white clover, come out roots and all. What makes this better than other long handled weeders is the slide ejector on the handle that ejects the weed without your having to get your hands on it. No need to clear clumps of dirt and plant out of the prongs by hand. This weeder has enabled me for the first time to actually get out ahead of the weed problem in my many flower and herb beds. Before this it has always been a game of catch up.
It is pretty expensive. However it is quite durable, and I expect it to stand up to year

This is the greatest weed and root puller. Everyone needs to get one of these if you have weeds in your yard and they keep coming back. You don't have to use much effort to pull out the weed with the root. And you don't even have to get your hands dirty. The Fiskars Uproot will pull the root and weed in just a couple of movements of your hands. I love this garden tool and I've had mine for three years. My neighbors are all getting one if they haven't already b/c they are amazed at how much work I get done in just one hour of weed pulling. It's the only gardening work I do and my husband is very grateful. I'm grateful for the Fiskars Uproot and Weeder :) Read more

I have used this product before and would buy it again and again! This is a great way to rid your lawn of those large weeds without using chemicals (a plus for your pets safety). This product allows me to pluck the weeds without coming in close contact with them. A great thing for allergy sufferers! Also, no bending or kneeling required which means no aching back or sore knees. Read more

The description in the online catalogue sounded perfect. When it arrived, I perused the instructions and took it outside to try out. It worked EXACTLY as anticipated. It's easy to use and pulling up weeds is actually fun now! I have a weak upper body and my back is beginning to weaken also. This UpRoot can be used without bending and it multiplies my strength so that it feels effortless. Read more

This is by far the best weed popper out there. It is made of mostly plastic and it is therefore more easily broken when using on harder ground. It is extremely easy to use though and does the best possible job of anything I have tried. Bottom line...although I don't like spending quite this much for the tool, I would and did buy it again. Read more
