For the most part, I really like this pack. There are a few nagging issues that keep it from earning a full recommendation from me, though.

The first and most obvious is the fact that the hose doesn't seem to be long enough to attach to the magnet as it should. I have the magnet as high up on the strap as it will go, but it often will not reach anyway (this is independent of whether I am wearing the pack or not).

The second, and in many ways more annoying issue, is with the connection of the bladder to the hose. I really like this for filling the pack....just push the button, pop off the hose, fill, and plug it back in--no leakage.

However, on several occasions when I have wrecked and ended up on my back, the hose has come partially disconnected. I don't notice this until I attempt to take a drink and there is ZERO flow of water or air. At this point I have to take off the pack, disconnect the hose completely, and then reconnect it.

It would also be nice if the main

This is a good pack with some cool features not found on other lines of hydro packs. I like the detachable hose though it will leak a little bit. The magnet attachment is also pretty cool. My only gripe is that the hose is too short. I was constantly yanking on this thing out on the trail so I went to the hardware store and spliced an additional 3" of hose into it. Mod costs under $5 and I don't have any more issues. Read more

I use this pack for day hikes and I just love it. The pack is big and roomy. There's a separate main compartment for big items.

The other reviews are true in saying the hose is too short to attach the magnet bite valve. But I just moved the magnet up on the shoulder strap and re-attached it with a rubber band, and now it works great. This is my favorite feature. I never have to worry about the bite valve getting dirty or being somewhere it shouldn't. Read more

I thought it was a good product but like the others I thought the hose was to short. during my more technical rides the hose would come undone and hit me in the face I havent fixed this yet but I have to wonder if the camelback extention will work on the hosing I give it a shot and let you know. Read more

good hydration pack. i like the whistle and the side pockets on the waist straps. also like the expandable feature. the refill is tricky at first, but i haven't had any major leaks. Read more
