I intended to use the product for portable viewing of everything from looking at Jupiter, Venus, and the stars to scanning for whales during whale watching trips to looking at exotic birds at the zoo. The bino strap doesn't go in the leather case too well. The close focus needs to be closer. The colors are amazing like with their camera lenses and the image is sharp and clear. But under certain day conditions, there is noticable chromatic aberration. The bino. is very light so is very shaky. It needs tripod support. It's not the 10x magnification as I also use Nikon 10x70s which is very balanced in the hand despite it's weight. Good stray light correction (like observing next to a street light at night). I use these for bird watching and animal spotting in the Phoenix area, and Sonoran desert. They are amazing, both in function and quality. I also have a pair of Swarovski which are nearly equal but for me not quite as robust. I cannot recommend these strongly enough for the person who wants the best. The leather finish is both durable and yet feels great, and the eye pieces are extremely comfortable for small binoculars. The lanyard is also very nice as is the case. Read more
